Glasgow 488 was the last four wheel tram to operate in ordinary passenger service in Britain and following restoration, will take to the tracks at the EATMS. The museum is pleased that the Ffestiniog Railway Company will be restoring the 'caur'.

Ray Maidstone, the EATMS tram engineer, is working alongside the FR and will report regularly to the EATMS and this website. Early investigations show far more work is necessary than originally anticipated. Fortunately enough money is available to cover the work including the VAT element required by the government.
