I was in Boston Lodge this morning [28 October 2014] and had a look at 488. The lower deck interior is being worked on; some beautiful new birds-eye maple panels and intricate decoration on the ventilators. It's going to look great and the body will be good for many years to come.

Restoration Progress to September 2014

The following has been achieved between the months of June to September 2014.

TOP DECK
•  Upper deck ventilator window transfer's applied to glass.

LOWER DECK - External work
•  Window glazing beads cleaned up and repaired.
•  New side glass fitted.
•  Side glazing beads refitted.
•  Lower panels cut and fitted.
•  Side buffing timber between lower and upper panels refitted.
•  Metal beads all refitted.
•  Last two end panels now fitted and beaded.
•  Wooden beads between metal end beads made and fitted.

LOWER DECK - Internal work
•  Lower deck ventilator window transfer's applied to glass.
•  Varnishing commenced on ventilator window frames.
•  Repair's to end doors done.
•  Varnishing commenced on most internal beads.
•  Varnish applied to main body frame work.
•  Three middle ceiling panels cut, part varnished and ready for artwork.
•  Artwork for ceiling on order.
•  Two side ceiling panels ready for artwork.
•  Lower body panels ready for final varnish and fitting
•  Side glass fitted.
•  New bell push casings made where needed.
•  End stairs ready for artwork and refitting.
